I've collected a bunch of different frames recently so I'm hoping to play around with them and make all sorts of little collages.

I'm not really sure how long this piece took because I've been working on it on and off again for the past month.  At first, I wanted to mostly use plain papers throughout the piece including the waves.  I tried cutting and layering them without adding any texture but eventually I caved and brought out the acrylics and gouache and not forgetting the glitter.

Sophie Collage

Another attempt at a 3D-ish paper collage. This time I designed an original character rather than a piece of fan art. I think it worked out better and I have to say that it was a lot of fun making her, very girlie and flamboyant, I should probably challenge myself next time and try and create something more atmospheric or serious.

Gigi Paper Sculpt

Another attempt at this type of '3D' collage. This time it sits in a box frame and is at least half the size of the Moulin Rouge collage. Gigi was on tv the other day which was what inspired me to do this but I really don't think this type of medium has captured the gorgeous design of the original dress worn by Leslie Caron. I will need to design it better next time.
